Hi.

I adopted Belphegor in 2017 from the cat cafe Crumbs & Whiskers in Washington, DC. At the time, I was working as the assistant manager, and was in the process of taking on the manager position. Belphegor is 5 years old as of April 1st, 2022. His name at the rescue (Homeward Trails Animal Rescue) was Sloth, and he had two brothers named Morris and Meatball. Bel was too sick to join his siblings when they came to the cafe, so they were adopted before he was. However, before he was even brought to Crumbs & Whiskers, I knew I was going to take him home with me. He plays fetch, loves to knead my face, and his favorite food is anything that I'm eating.

Alexei Sacha was adopted from PetSmart in 2016. I had just moved out of my parents house, into my own place, and I knew the first thing that I wanted to do was get a cat. I was looking for a senior black cat, because I know those cats are least likely to get adopted. However, at the time, my coworker insisted that this was the cat for me - this little 6 month old fluffball that flopped in your arms when you picked him up. At first, I thought I had made a mistake. I was not prepared for a kitten! Years later, and I don't know where I would be without this cat. He's incredibly sweet and affectionate, and loves me unconditionally. Sacha is 6 years old as of April 13th, 2022.
